Before you decide

Moving to another canton? Try it first.

Your canton changes your tax, sometimes by a lot. New job there or just a move: copy your budget, switch the canton, and see what's left each month before you decide.

  1. Long-press your plan and duplicate it. Your real budget stays as it is.
  2. In the copy, pick the new canton. New job too? Enter the new salary as well.
  3. Switch between the two plans. The tax estimate and what's left each month update on their own.

Little tricks we actually use.

Nothing life-changing — just the small things that make the app nicer once you know they're there.

Give your plans an emoji

Vacation ✈️, New Car 🚗, House 🏠. Pop an emoji into the plan name and picking the right one becomes a half-second job.

Long-press a plan

That's where duplicate hides. Copy a plan, change one number, and see what happens — your real budget stays untouched.

Tap the donut

On the Expenses screen, tap any slice or category row to open it up. Fair warning: this is how you find the subscription you forgot about.

Flip Monthly to Yearly

One tap on the dashboard turns every number into its yearly twin. CHF 27.92 a month for the Serafe is quietly CHF 335 a year.

Go collect an achievement

Settings → Achievements keeps your savings milestones. No streaks to lose and no guilt trips — just a small trophy when you hit one.

Repaint the whole thing

Settings → Appearance. The themes do nothing useful whatsoever, which is exactly the point — pick one you like looking at.

Lock it

Settings → App Lock. A 4-digit PIN — or your fingerprint or face, if the phone has one — and whoever borrows your phone sees the lock, not your budget.

Add the 13th salary

Bonus, 13th salary, a side job: the + on the dashboard has an Extra income entry. One-off or every month, and the taxable ones flow straight into the tax estimate.

Your data stays on your device. Full stop.

Questions, answered.

No. Anyone can use it. Pick CHF, EUR or USD, or type your own currency code. Outside Switzerland the Swiss tax estimate and the Pillar 3a and health-insurance checks switch off by themselves, and in Switzerland you can turn the tax reserve off in your profile. What's left is a plain, private budget: income, bills, goals and savings.
Yes. Every budgeting, tax and savings feature is free — no ads and no paywalled numbers. If you want to support the work, you pay what you feel like — from CHF 1 — and that unlocks a few extra colour themes. Nothing else: it is purely cosmetic and buys you nothing you actually need.
Entirely on your phone, encrypted at rest. Nothing is sent to a server or a cloud — there isn't one to send it to.
No. No sign-up, no email, no login. Install it and start — your data is yours alone.
Because your data lives on your phone, a backup is your safety net. Settings → Data Management → Backup writes everything into one file with a single tap, saved to a folder you pick — add a password if you want it encrypted (.sbk). On a new phone, Restore reads that file and adds the plans to whatever is already there; nothing gets wiped. The app also keeps a rolling daily backup on the device. Nothing is ever uploaded, so keep that file somewhere you will find it again.
Ten: German, French, Italian and Rumantsch — all four Swiss national languages — plus English, Romanian, Hungarian, Croatian, Serbian and Albanian. Every screen is fully translated, not machine-guessed.
