Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-13
This policy covers both the SwissBudget+ app and this website. Switzerland's revised Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) applies; where visitors are in the EU, the GDPR may apply as well.
1. Who we are
Argyo Apps is a family project run by two private individuals in Switzerland:
Andrei & Nada Argyo
6032 Emmen
Switzerland
All data-protection questions go to hello@argyoapps.ch — we answer them ourselves.
2. The app: your data never leaves your phone
SwissBudget+ is a local-only app. Everything you enter — income, expenses, savings goals, tax settings — is stored only on your device; your financial figures are additionally encrypted inside the app's private storage. We operate no server for it. There is nowhere for your financial data to go, so we never receive it, never store it, and cannot see it.
- No cloud and no account. No sign-up, no email, no login.
- No analytics and no crash reporting. The app contains no tracking or measurement code of any kind.
- Backups are yours. The app can export a password-protected encrypted backup (.sbk) or a plain JSON export; you choose where they go via your phone's share sheet. It also keeps one rolling daily safety copy inside its own private folder on the device. We never see any of these files or the password, and a lost password cannot be recovered by us.
- Your phone's own backup. If you have Android's device backup to your Google account switched on, Android may include the app's data in that backup like any other app's. That is a feature of your phone and Google account, governed by Google's privacy policy; we have no access to it.
- Pictures on savings goals. If you attach a picture to a goal, you pick it with your phone's own picture selector and it is copied into the app's storage on the device. It is never uploaded.
- Permissions. The only permission the app asks you for is Google Play Billing, for the optional Supporter purchase. The Android build also carries the standard internet capability that Play Billing itself needs and a legacy storage entry from the picture-picker library; the app makes no network requests of its own and reads only the single picture you pick. Camera and microphone access are blocked outright in the app's manifest.
3. The optional Supporter purchase
SwissBudget+ is free. There is an optional Supporter unlock — a one-time purchase, not a subscription — that adds extra themes and celebration styles and nothing that affects budgeting. The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play: we never see your payment details; the app only asks Google Play whether your Google account owns the unlock, so it can be restored after a reinstall. Google's own privacy policy governs the transaction.
4. This website
This site uses no cookies for tracking, no advertising and no third-party analytics. We do not profile visitors and nothing about your visit is shared with anyone.
- Hosting. The site is hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland. Like any web server, the host writes technical logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser) which exist for security and delivery and are deleted on the host's own schedule.
- No third-party requests. The pages load no external fonts, scripts, or embeds — everything is served from this domain.
- Sharing buttons. The share buttons build a link and hand it to your own device (clipboard, WhatsApp, mail app). Nothing is sent to us when you use them.
5. The iPhone waitlist
If you want to hear about an iPhone version, you send us an email from your own mail app — the button on the site only pre-fills it. We keep that mail (your address, the language you named, the date) in our hello@argyoapps.ch mailbox, hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland, and use it for two things only: to write to you once when the iOS version is ready, and to count how many people want it.
- No form, no list provider. This website stores nothing and no form service or mailing-list provider is involved: your mail travels from your mail provider to ours like any other email.
- How long. Until you ask us to delete it, or until the iPhone version has launched and everyone has been notified — whichever comes first. To leave the list, reply “stop” to any mail from us or write to the same address; we delete it by hand, promptly.
- Legal basis. Your consent, given by sending the mail; you can withdraw it at any time.
6. Your rights
You may ask us at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. In practice, for the waitlist that means: write to hello@argyoapps.ch and it is done — there is nothing else on file. For the app there is nothing to ask about, because the data never reaches us.
You also have the right to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
7. Third parties
The complete list:
- Google Play — distributes the app (package
com.swissbudget.app) and handles the optional Supporter purchase, under Google's own privacy policy. - Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland — hosts this website and our mailbox.
There are no others. No analytics provider, no advertising network, no form service, no CDN.
8. Children
The app is safe for children to see — no advertising, no third-party content, and nothing loaded from the internet — but it is a household budgeting tool meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age; the waitlist form asks only for an email address.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Substantial changes affecting waitlist subscribers will also be sent by email to the address we hold.
